Due to inclement weather, the Kent Campus is cancelling classes beginning at 2:15 p.m. today (Tuesday, Feb. 13) until 11 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, Feb. 14).
Oh I know, it was so nice to be outside in the snow and NOT be freezing... It reminded me of when I was younger and used to be outside all the time playing in the snow.
It amazes how far Kent will "push it" not to cancel classes. As someone who has lived on (or at least next) to campus and now as someone who lives 30-minutes away they've consistently done this kind of BS through the years.
Look at their advisory, they are saying classes are canceled until 11AM.
Why not just say "Morning classes canceled" and leave it as that? What is so crucial about an hour difference?
In regards to their BS, I can fully understand since I've been a KSU student for about five years now (sixth year as a college student) ... When I used to live in Chardon, I would have to leave abysmally early (usually about 6AM) to make my classes on time only to find out that they announced the cancellations while I was on my hour long drive to KSU. I can't listen to the radio so I would arrive and find out then drive another hour back home.
This reason is why I moved way closer to the main campus.

I'm hoping the cancelations hold until tomorrow night as well.

11AM? Why not put "Morning classes cancelled" instead? Morning classes are until noon anyways. Why does an hour make a difference?
Sheesh.
