There are big attractions like the CN Tower, the Royal Ontario Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario, Fort York, Hockey Hall of Fame, Casa Loma, and others. Most of them are a bit pricey, like all major tourist attractions.
Depending on the weather, there are a number of cool neighbourhoods to explore... Chinatown, Little Italy, Greektown, The Beach, etc. You can also visit the Toronto Island, where there's a theme park and a great view of the skyline.
There are also poetry slams happening that weekend, and improv shows, other arts events...

We do have a rich comedy history. Jim Carrey and Howie Mandel also started here. So did Samantha Bee and Jason Jones of The Daily Show. Toronto's Second City company launched Dan Aykroyd and Gilda Radner (and later, Mike Myers), in addition to the SCTV cast.
