Have you ever gone to some place partly to meet up with some people you have met on the internet? If you are in Generations X or Y, the answer is probably yes. Thus, I found myself going to Toronto for a long weekend last week, with the intent of meeting with

Glad you liked the city. I sometimes forget how much there really is to do here.

I really got into the city, and I'm glad I purchased some CD merchandise to continue my enjoyment.
I especially enjoyed the "Border Crossing" segment:
Q: "Where are you headed today, sir?"
A: "Cincinnati."
Q: "Business or Pleasure?"
A: "Pleasure."
Q: "...Excuse me?"
A: "Pleasure."
Q: "...In Cincinnati?"
A: "That's right."
Q: "Huh."
I admit that I broke up laughing, since the joke is immediately obvious to any Cincinnati resident. You would get serious laughs here, that's for sure. Never realized that Americans can turn "huh" into a sentence, but it's sort of our equivalent to the Canadian "Ay".
And I apologize for our border guards. I'm sorry!

Glad you enjoyed day 1, and I'm sorry for the crazy driving tour of the downtown core. Honest - there's a reason I have complained about driving in the downtown core before.... Be grateful I didn't suggest taking the car on Saturday and driving up Spadina -- that is just sheer madness (Chinatown).
I'm just sorry I got us lost on the first day where you kind of had to feel like refuge at the Tim's (not that Tim's isn't a great place for refuge, but I mean, really. A Tim's closer to McMichael would've been better).
Ditto the "I'm sorry" about Midi. It came with high recommendations about the quality of food, etc. Just goes to show you.

Besides, I like upscale Frenchy cafes. I had no choice while I was visiting Paris, after all.
