About 30 miles north of downtown Cincinnati is a megachurch which calls itself the Solid Rock Church. The most striking feature of this church as you pass it by on I-75 is was the 62-foot tall Jesus statue, which featured him from the waist up with his arms outstretched towards heaven. I love it! In a perverse way, mind you, but I love it.

Sorry, haven't really been on LJ much, for obvious reasons. Not only that, but my usual 'end of June' vacation usually takes me offline for a bit, and I missed seeing this.

Kent, you find the bestest things to blog about. Seriously. I need to take lessons from you.

Yay! That's my shiara_, always giving an extra nudge to her friends, urging them to dive in, explore a little more, and talk about an ugly flaming Jesus or two. I just need to be on Livejournal more, since your vacation is typicla for me almost every day. Unfortunately, I'm afraid that has also become true for more contributors, so I'm glad to keep up a little community around here.

Not sure what to come up with next, maybe the Frogmen of Loveland or something. Sounds like a great subplot for the Pirate Banana.

I had a new thought about this -- even Jesus on water (technically speaking, mind) is no match for lightning.
