At what point do we actually starting being consistent? I mean, foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man had no place to lay His head. He clearly and simply taught us to not be worried about our life as to what we will eat, drink or wear for clothing because our Heavenly Father knows that we need them. i think you're really onto something here. I think about materialism quite a lot, and realize how drawn to it I am for no reason at all. Why do I need money or things? It makes me want to follow God and trust that He'll take care of the rest, and in some ways it's liberating, because you don't have to worry about other people's expectations of you. You just find something God has given you a passion for and you do it.

that's pretty much it. and as i read the teachings of Christ, especially his sermon on the mount, it seems that the philosophy he wishes to instill in his disciples
