Everytime somebody said Sam-hain, my ears were burning.

Next up on Supernatural: a demon called Bill Tanner. Or Beltane. Whatever fits. *g*

Agreed. The burning.

EPIC FAIL Kripke Crew. Epic fail.

I'm sure someone will call him out on that at a convention.

They can't fuck up "Yule"!

Yes, it killed me. Not to mention the lore was wrong too. Usually they do their research, but this time.... yes, it was epic fail.

Agreed. It was a bit painful. For Kripke being such a mythology buff, this was epically disappointing.

Perhaps no one ever told him about the Gaelic tradition of eschewing vowels in place of long strings of brain-melting consonants?

And I thought it was 'SA-ween'? Eh, who knows.

An easy way to get around the irritation is to simply pretend that it's a slightly different word meant - one that's spelled the same, but sounds different (whaddaya call 'em? homonyms?).

LOL - somebody wasn't doing their home work for the actors - grin. I know that they have a latin coach and of course Jim Beaver really does speak a lot of languages but this make you wonder just how much they are messing up - doesn't it

Zaz - who does not know Celtic pronunciation either

Yeeeaaahhh... You'd think DEAN would have aid it that way.

Talk about the uproar within my Wiccan friends. But I had to remind them it is a tv show and that there IS lore on it that reflects the episode (granted lore that was prejudicial but still historical records are out there) and really I think it was more "Oh hey guys... this is what this episode about. What can we find that fits and will make it happen?"

But yeah, I cringed. Each time. Next week: Arabic? xD
