So tonight during Desperate Housewives, I finally saw that new Alias promo people have been buzzing about. ( Don't click if you don't wanna know! )

I don't know if the promo was supposed to be funny, but I laughed so hard I almost choked on my root beer.

I'm sure the promo monkeys were going for "shocking!" more than "funny," but it was funny as hell.

I went from "squeeee!" to "bwah!" in about 2 seconds.

I know. They're trying to kill us, obviously. It's times like this when I'm glad I have 2 TiVos. Too many more nights like the upcoming Wednesday, though, and I might have to get a third!

But yeah, I was glad I saw it. I'm sure that clip has been edited, so I can't wait to see exactly how it plays out.

Hell, I may not be able to wait til after the ep. The second I heard about this I began thinking about the Vack potential in Spy Daddy's reaction. Jack'll probably kick Vaughn's ass a bit to make him pay for roughing up his little girl but after that I could totally see him taking the boy out for a drink. "You've hurt Sydney to protect her, son. If that doesn't make you a member of this family then I don't know what does. But if you ever do it again just remember, I've been to jail before and I'm not afraid of going back."

Bwah! That's exactly how I imagine that conversation going. If the actual writers haven't written that scene, they've wasted a huge opportunity.

...but it's a sure sign that Vaughn has what it takes to eventually be a part of the Bristow family. After all, love means never having to say, "Why did you shoot me in the shoulder?" or "Why did you brainwash me as a small child?"

HAHAHA! I just saw it, and seriously, it looks like Vaughn smiles after he hits her.

And of course, I won't be able to watch it for two weeks, so I probably shouldn't even have watched the promo. Now I'm dying to know why he hits her!

Well that's what happens when you go off to Italy. Somehow, I can't find it in me to work up any sympathy. :-)

Seriously, now I'm gonna have to watch the prmo another 15 times to see if Vaughn really smiles after he hits her.

I think he winces. I know nothing, but my personal theory is that it's a mutually agreed upon teeth-knocker with the purpose of making it look like she's not involved in whatever he's got up his sleeve.
