The Seedy Underbelly of Logan Echolls

"My underbelly is rock hard. It can go all night."

Are the writers of Veronica Mars actually trying to make me explode in a big ball of lust? Jesus.

I thought the same thing about the posters...their presence definitley weirded me out. It seems a lot more Logan to get drunk, tear the posters down, and pee on them than keep them framed in the hallways. But, maybe he's just a big masochistic.

Hee! I totally agree. I think the posters were just a big plot device so Veronica could have her "moment," but that bugged, because I think most fans think the same way we do.

I hope the writers explore that in more depth, especially since the only time Duncan remotely interests me is when he's around Logan (and his lips or hands aren't attached to Veronica).

Amen!

And I hadn't noticed that Veronica had not spoken directly to Logan yet, but you are right, and it is SO WORTH IT!

I loved it that in the first two episodes, she was left speechless by Logan in both of their encounters. I figured the first time she actually spoke to him, she'd go off on him, and, of course, she did. I loved it, although I loved it even more that he was so calm, sharky and unflappable about. She so wasn't being honest with herself about why she really showed up at his place, and I think he knew it.

I need a Haaron/Logan scene more than a meth addict needs a box of Sudafed.
I KNOW...Harry Hamlin has to come back. I'm trying to avoid spoilers but I wish someone would just confirm that for me, so I can stop worrying about it.

It was worth waiting for, because, as always, their scenes continue to be highly charged and delicious
Yeah, I need to rewatch that scene though, because I was sort of too busy staring at JD to remember exactly what they said. Heh.

I didn't see the Alicia thing coming at all. I figured there had to be some reason why they were showing her with Keith in Chicago, but I figured it would be some mystery about Keith/Lianne, not Alicia.

Very glad that Duncan and Logan finally "talked." Duncan is at his best when he's with Logan, and that scene was a good reminder of why they're not speaking to each other anymore.

Yeah, I was very relieved that the reason they're not speaking wasn't all about Veronica. That would've been so lame. It's so true to character that Logan, who values the loyalty of his friends above all else, is more upset about Duncan not being there for him this past summer than he is about the fact that Duncan is dating Veronica.

Also, like you, I must be off my game, because I also didn't see the Alicia thing coming, even when she hesitated about going to Chicago. But I loved that the writers got one over on me.

Totally agree with all your comments, including the posters.

When I saw Logan in a towel, I realized that the writers really DO know what the fans want to see. Hee. Thank goodness we finally saw both Duncan and Veronica confront him. Even if the Duncan fight was a little OOC, I really liked the scene afterward.

And what the hell is going on with Alicia? That was totally out of left field.

God, I love this show.

Yeah, I agree that it's about time both Veronica and Duncan got their issues with Logan out on the table. It's interesting, though, that Logan had to force that conversation with Duncan and that Veronica still isn't being honest with herself or Logan about the unresolved issues between them. Still, I loved both of those scenes.

Word. That's what makes this triangle actually interesting compared to others: because of the friendship between Logan and Duncan. Not to mention, JD is the only one TD has chemistry with.

I loved that Logan was upset about Duncan not being there for him this summer, too. It's already been shown before how important loyalty is to Logan (it's how his riff with Veronica after Lilly's death first started, because he felt betrayed), and it's not like Logan can get too upset about Duncan dating Veronica, when they were in each other's shoes a few months back. How refreshing that the writers focused on the friendship, rather than the girl.

Maybe Veronica and Duncan should be fighting over Logan *snerk*
