Vindication!!

Ha! I can't believe it!

For once, when I have a smidge of courage and post my true feeling about something, I didn't get flamed. Well, I didn't get lauded, either, but today, my friends, I was proven to be on the side of right!

All that big build up is to say that when I posted last week about really liking the way James Marsters sounded when ( Read more... )

::nuzzles:: you're too cute. And I have two vcd's of him performing, from a year or so ago. I can't watch them. Well, I can't watch them with the sound on, because, well, they're *BAD*.

But now?

Oh, nelly. Lessons. A lot of lessons he's worked hard at. Also, someone taught him how to key for his range, which is something you *do* need a professional to teach you, so yay for that! Because damn he sounded fine on SO's show. *This* album, I may buy!

And now I'm wondering if that televised appearance (albeit on a not very popular show) had any effect for the band. Nah, probably not. If any, it's probably that Jack Osbourne wants to be their manager now.

You were so right. I must admit that I was underwhelmed when I heard GotR at Dragon*Con. LC's also right - someone has been speanding a lot of time practicing and has had professional help. I couldn't believe it was the same voice when I heard the Sharon Osborne thing - he's keying to his range and staying with what works. V. smart. Sounds as good as the majority of what's on the radio now - though that's not much of a compliment, is it?

I'd like to hear more. I never did buy the previous cd. I was very pleasantly surprised at his performance after all the bashings his singing seemed to get. Seems like he's taking this as seriously as he does his acting, though he's always stated in interviews that this would come second to acting. Maybe, like everyone else in life, I guess, he's taking what he can get when he can get it.

I wonder if they will be performing in Atlanta again? That seems to be the closest he's come to me. Hmmmm.

I've heard him say that he has been asked to choose between music and acting on many occasions and refuses to do so... see Harvest transcripts on Morethanspike posting board for exact wording.

Forgive the email coming your way. I replied wrong, i.e., not in LJ!

I was saying in the email that I'd heard him on Craig Kilborn's show, I think, that he'd always have acting as a first choice. Who knows?
