It's at her website, though she does have a link at the end of each chapter that says "send feedback to hername".
Eh, I doubt I'd say anything. I mean, I never do! So why start now, especially when I still loved the story and will continue to read everything she writes?
Thanks for commenting, though. It's nice to know my post didn't just go out into a void. I needed that. :)
Knowing me, I might not comment on that either, though it would sure bug the piss out of me. Especially if it were a finished work.
I have used repetition, though most of the time I like to think I know I'm doing it and am making a choice. Though sometimes it's because I can't think of anything better.
When I write and I notice a repetition of a word in adjoining sentences/paragraphs, I do everything I can to change one of them. So I know how annoying read a frequent repetition can be.
When I post stuff, I appreciate comments telling me something doesn't work, but I'm like you, and would find it totally arrogant to tell someone else (or be afraid to upset them).
Seriously, I know that I sometimes repeat words or phrases and don't notice until way later, when I read back after I've gotten some distance from the story. That said, people are touchy about their writing. If you know or strongly suspect that this person is open to constructive criticism, I'd go for it.
Yes, it *is* you! NOT!!! Not that I'd be any more inclined to tell you as I am this other person, though. :D
I'm not going to say anything. It's really not the big deal my loooong post made it out to be. I do hope that someone(s) on my FL will read it and feel the same, though, so that I feel a bit vindicated!
Yes, tell me! I try really hard not to use the same words over and over, especially when it's a word that isn't common, and I'd like to know if I missed something. I'd really like to know about it if it's jarring you out of the rhythm of the story, 'cause it's probably not just you.
Also, I have the same problem with reading something that jars me. I'm reading one author now who uses dashes for emphasis, which is annoying in itself, but even worse is the fact that the words she's emphasizing are the wrong words, at least in my opinion. I've had to stop reading her dashes as emphasis, but it's still annoying when I come across them, and they're in. Every. Paragraph!

I've decided not to say anything. It's not like it's a life or death problem. Plus, I'm a chicken. :P

I almost wished it was one of your stories, since you seem so open to this kind of critical fb. But alas, you are too perfect for me to do so!
Thanks so much for weighing in on this subject.
