I know for the UK store they have refurb Wednesdays. From 10-10 they sell all the refurbished macs with up to 50% off sometimes because they have minor flaws, or that the computer was built factory incorrect for the client's specification. Maybe the US store has something different.

There is always the Mac Mini. :)

It's Second Life. Unless you're running a hardcore graphics and memory machine, frequent crashes are part of the package.
