The brief episodic breaths of flashings here and there would ordinarily confuse. But in this case it just makes the shivers even more intense by the end. And I think that is in part not the plot but the style that you brought to it. Ever so well done.

Is it strange that I'm more worried about the wife, and how she seems to be ill more often than not, rather than the fact that her husband and brother in law are killing people and burying them in shallow graves?
