This. is. brilliant. Beautiful, painful, fragile, courageous. You did good. It's always hardest on those remaining, and you made it clear why. It's odd that in my world at least, love is a star and at its absolute brightest in these moments, when its all there is left, when words can't say and tears don't come and memories zoom past, sticking on this one or that for an eternity plus a day.

This great mystery of a man = love. The words you chose were spot on. I feel for you, not only in your losses but in the anxiety you feel when relating them; and I'm blessed to have witnessed it. I hope you got or get published through this lass. You deserve the recognition.

Aw, thank you so much for your very kind words. You are most generous to me. I have struggled with a lot of this since my dad died, but I think that I feel a little better since I wrote it out. I'm not sure why that should change things, but it seems to have allowed me to have a certain peace about it. The fact that it wasn't really boring to read about or that I didn't have some sort of monstrous feelings that no one could relate to helps. You are very sweet to have taken the time to have come here to slog through the whole long and depressing affair and I really do thank you for it. We shall have to think of something cheerful and uplifting to discuss to make up for it!

I love melancholy, it's where I live. It is the truth right along with the sunny side truth, so to me it has equal standing. We all tend to think "I'm the only one that thinks (weird thing of your choice)" sometimes. I've found, generally, everyone has a similar weird thing lol. It's been nearly 30 years with my mother and I still "pang" about it. I'm glad you found a little peace by sharing your story.
