ooc - State of the muse and thoughts on the episode 2x12

Mar 12, 2012 16:12

So, here we are. It's been a hell of a morning for me, battling a flood, a download that wouldn't move its ass, a blackout screwing said download, returning the power and another download that refused to take less than 2 hours to get me the latest Walking Dead episode.

Obvious spoilers for episode 2x12 )

state of the muse, the mun needs to edit her ranting, ooc

Daryl may well follow Shane, if Shane wanders off before he really gets absorbed into looking for Sophia. I think just after the CDC, his mind will still be on finding his brother who only went missing a few days before. The deeper into the Sophia line we get, the more he rechanels his efforts into finding someone more deserving and probably more likely to still be found alive (ha!). It eases the guilt of not being able to find his brother if he can still do some good. And... He starts to give more of a shit about the people around him...

But yeah, if Shane goes before Carl is shot, and Daryl think he might be going in a direction Merle might have gone in, he'll go with him. Could well be interesting.

Clearly Rick isn't going XD But there's still plenty to explore season 1 and pre...

Merle can stop by and be a bastard sometime too. Hell, he can be pre season 1, or all vengeful shooting at Shane from a tree house in the AU XD

(and the babies are calling, brb <3)

YOU-YOU-YOU.... You goddamn amazing mun using those icons that are mind-fucking me so bad today. XDDD

All sounds more than game to me. Mind you, you know I can be a lazy ass when we're out of season and other muses demand more attention. But I know I'll be back to this bad boy. And HELL YEAH I wanna explore all of that. My other muses will pesterise canon!Rick.

You go feed those babies, I still have to shower and go see ROGER WATERS!!!

Don't give me awkward thoughts of Shane bending Rick over and spanking him with his gun... Because I'm not even sorry.

Anyway, Im seriosuly considering how things would have worked if Rick hadn't been in a coma. It would be fun to play the development of how they left their old lives behind, how the camp was formed. Im pretty sure Shane wouldnt have touched Lori if he was around, that would have changed pretty much everything.

So, F-YEAH, I'm poking the hell out of you. \o/

Couldn't resist it. I had ALL THE FEELINGS and well...

Babe, don't ever apologize for RL events. I'm just truly glad that things are picking up for you, even if it probably doesn't feel that much at the moment. <3<3<3

Yeah, that's pretty much how I felt. I mean, I still enjoyed him in the last couple of episodes, because, even thought he was a hot-headed paranoid, I could still see where he was standing and support some his ideas. He totally lost it in the last one. I was talking to officr_friendly's mun and she pointed out something that's very true. One thing would be shooting Randall. But killing him with his bare hands? He's lost it completely and frankly, it just hurt to see him that way.

I'm really glad to hear that. I've missed your girl and, going back to that time would probably give them both a chance to develop a much healthier relationship too.

I read somewhere earlier that they actually considered not killing Shane off for a while there. The quote I read was: “At one point, we considered not killing Shane,” Mazzara told MTV News. “But what’s important about this season is, Rick has to step forward. He has to assume leadership of the group and he has to confront Shane.” So in other words, they only followed comic canon to make it possible for Rick to move forward as a leader. Not for the sake of following comic canon which they may as well throw out the window given how many points they've already ignored Or maybe I'm just reading it wrong :/ which is just as likely!

Moving on.

In a world without Robin, Tommy would gladly leave with Shane (b/c, lets face it, Tommy'd go to hell and back for that girl). Mostly b/c Tommy can't be fucked dealing with all the drama that's coming from the group and figures there'll be less, if any, with Shane.

And Charli... well, she's a given... Actually, I have no clue what she'd do. :D

Yeah, I've heard Kirkman talk about it several times. It's pretty clear that it was it needed to be done for the characters to move. In the comic it's a heavy stone on regards of Carl growing up. In the show, I think the whole triangle with Rick and Lori had then on constant worry. Now not only Rick can grow, let's say colder, but also there's no questions on where Lori's loyalties lie and who's the father of the baby ( ... )

Very well-put! Shane wasn't very fleshed out in the comics, but on the show, he was hands-down my favorite character. The writers gave him so many layers, made him so complex and tortured that it actually humanized him and highlighted the reality of their situation (as "real" as a ZA can be). He was morally gray, which I believe many people would be in times of extreme "do or die" crisis, and it saddened me to see him sort of villainized for it. Granted, as you said, it was Shane's fate from the beginning. We all knew it was coming and all I can do is thank Jon for giving us one hell of a performance. I will definitely be following him to his new show. :)

That said, I am all for Shane living on in AU. If you're in need of an Andrea, mine is here and happy to tag along. :)

Thank you! I felt like my boy deserved a little babbling on behalf of how awesomely he was developed. Even though I hated seeing him being a villain of sorts, I guess that that's where the show is aiming anyway. It happened with Jenner in season 1 too: the living are the biggest threats. I'm really hoping to see Rick slowly turn that way too. It would be really awesome to see him start having double morals, like with his "we don't kill the living" rule?

And yes, Jon Bernthal is an amazing actor and I can't wait to see his new project: "LA Noir". Bernthal + Darabont is a GREAT combo. <3

I'd LOVE to have your Andrea around! I've adored what we played so far since you honestly have her voice SO SPOT ON. <333

Aww, THANK YOU! :D I'm never sure how I'm doing with her voice, so I really, really appreciate the compliment. ♥

I don't even know what LA Noir is going to be about; I just know that I'm so there. Milo Ventimiglia is going to be in it as well so that's an even added bonus for me.

And AU could be very fun, especially if Shane goes off on his own. If Andrea tags along, that could be very entertaining. I see them as the type where when they get along, they really get along. But when they don't? They don't. Bwahaha.

I honestly believe you got the hang of her right away. It's been a pleasure playing with you so far. ^_^

All I know is that its a cop show, but Im all on board for it!! Aaaand I didn't knew about Milo but its definitely a plus now!

It sounds great really. I loved that teacher/student kinda thing between them and that they actually have really good chemistry. Even in Shane's last eps, when Andrea clashed with him on some things, they still understood the other quite well. They would be one hell of a team on their own, that's for sure!

You know how I love Shane (and you, for that matter!) and I am still in mourning over his loss. That being said, I am so, so, so glad that I found a player that captures him so perfectly and understands him so profoundly.

All the love! <3

Babe!! God, you really flatter me so much. These words coming from a GREAT player such as youself make me beam and giggle like a teenage girl, which only makes Shane ashamed of his mun, really...

Now, in all seriousness. I remember there was a time I was DYING to find a Lori to explore things with. Little did I know that I'd fun a player as taleneted such as yourself, and also such a great, patient (and God, youre so patient with my shitty schedules) and overall amazing person. <3<3<3

Right back at you!! <3<3<3<3

You're going to make me blush! You're the one that has such a great grip on your character and his voice! You know I'm, like, you're number one fan. ♥

Honestly, I was shocked when I got on here and saw such a lack of Lori players. Turns out, she's apparently one of the most hated characters ever, but guess what? I love her, so I don't care! And as I've told you before, I was so nervous picking her up, and you just made the transition so wonderful. :) I can't even imagine pairing her with a different Shane now. You've gone and spoiled me!

Heeeh, we can blush together then, because fangirling over the other is totally mutual. <3<3<3

You know, one of the things that added weight to how wonderfully you play her is, I'm sure, the fact that you're also a mother and you understand that lioness protecting her cub thing about Lori as perfectly as you do. Just a little thing, but I ADORE when you write scenes with those two together. <3

And I'll never stop being shocked by how hard people are on Lori, so I'm really glad to have found someone that loves and understands her as you do. For a while I felt like Rick's mun and I were the only ones that loved Shane and Lori! XD And likewise, hon. I was nervous of playing my boy against such a good Lori, but you made it so easy for me too. <3<3<3
