Tasha's death is to date the hardest I've had to bear of any being, human or animal I have known. I can only be grateful that she died before I left for college, and that I got to hug her goodbye before she went in for the surgery she never really woke up from. The period after her death is also the only time I've been seriously depressed. I remember how horribly empty the house felt the next day, and my mom and I would just look at each other and burst out sobbing. Tasha had loved to sit at the window in my room because it looked out over the driveway and she could play GuardPoodle. I refused to close the curtains for a month, the nose-snot paintings on the glass never to be refreshed.

Anyway, now that I've gone reminicing and made myself cry, to my original point: I could never think you silly for being this upset over an animal. I do know what your going through, and I remember how much it hurts.

(Also, I'm sorry I'm a bit after the fact. This is what I get for not checking LJ for a week)
