Europe: pre-flight check

In a few hours, provided there aren't too many delays from the enormous storm hovering over Chicago, I will be on my way to Spain (the plane to Spain depends mainly on the rain). My internet access once there will likely be erratic, but I'll do my best to keep a running log

You're giving out boring rocks? That actually sounds significantly more awesome than postcards. If you happen to find a good one (a rock, that is) in France, I would would quite grateful. You don't even have to mail it, just send it with one of the people I'll be living with.
