In a job full of interesting days, today was an interesting day. "What the deuce are you doing on LiveJournal in the middle of an 'interesting' workday?" I hear you say (since you are probably the kind of person who proclaims "what the deuce?"). Well, I'm getting to that

Funnily enough, that was my very first idea for them. It's still on the short list.

That particular site was barely worth the name, just the handful of broken ceramic bits and the rusted buckle. The next day, though, we found an old burnt out homestead with just the chimney remaining and a bunch of charred early 20th Century appliances and two nearby trash dumps with a ton of neat - and often intact - bottles. Oh, and a well with cave swallows nesting in it.

They're from the desert (or sort of the desert) right? They should have desert-related names. Like Leto and Ghanima, or Lawrence and Ali. That's what comes to my mind.
