If you've ever had a baby (recently or not) I need help. I haven't been sleeping for more than 20-30 minutes at a time for the last couple of nights and I'm going to scream/cry/become a zombie soon if I don't figure out how to get comfortable ( Read more... )

This is a tough one. I think it's case specific. With my first two I had to sleep back to back with my husband, and he was NOT allowed to move at all during the night. With the third one he wasn't even allowed in bed with me for the last two months. Honestly, I think all the sleepless nights are to prepare you for the sleepless nights yet to come when crying babies keep you up all night.

Hmmmm... I don't know really what to say to help you. Sometime during my seventh month I started having the same problem. From then on I don't think I slept more than one hour at a time (most of the time, less), which is usually when I had to get up to go to the bathroom anyway.

The only thing that really helped me was using two moshi pillows (the really soft bean bag type pillows). I put one under my stomach and one between my legs. They were small enough so that I could move them around easy and soft enough so that they could mold to the position I wanted them in.

Other than that I can't give you any advice except to grin and bear it and try not to punch out anyone who tells you just that, LOL! No, really, it will be over soon and I can promise you, you'll have a hard time remembering any of it, thank God! Good luck and hope things get better!!!

Tylenol PM all the way. It will not hurt the baby, you will not get addicted to it, etc, etc. I took it probably 1-2 times a week on the nights when I really felt wiped out and knew I needed to muster some sort of energy for work the next day.

Also, I would sleep on the couch, b/c it supported my back, with a small (decorative size) pillow under my belly, but kinda shoved farther back toward my spine (sleeping on my side). If that makes any sense at all! : )

Best of luck to you!!
