Lately I have been feeling down about myself.  Its nothing anyone did, its just the way I feel.  I feel ugly, and I am not happy with my weight.  I have been trying to lose weight and have been somewhat successful, I lost 15 lbs at the start of spring, but lately it has been a roller coaster of gaining and losing about 5 lbs.  Its annoying, I am ( Read more... )

Keri...

I wish you all the luck in the world! I know that losing weight is a really hard thing to do. I'm going back on a diet very very soon too.. I've finally gotten to a point where I know it's time to do something. I wish I were home more b/c we could totally set up times to workout together.. I know Steph and Nicole want to work out too... maybe on the weekends we can get to gether and at least do something... it'll be a small step, right? Let me know what you think...

Love ya! GOOD LUCK!

Thank you so much for the info!!!

I have been on and off this 1200 calorie diet from the doctor, when I am on it I have a lot more energy and I lose weight, thats why I am going back on it full fledged!!

I have never heard of Turbo Jam, but I am willing to try anything once, twice if I like it!!!

I am taking a multi-vitamin right now , along with Calcium, Vitamin C & E. I am gonna look at taking Brewer's Yeast and Glucomannan, those sounded good to take, because I have low iron in my blood and I can always use more fiber! lol

I like the smoothie breakfast idea, especially with my hectic schedule. I also love berries! And Green Tea, so no problems there, although I may opt for the pill form.

That Stevia sounds awesome, especially cause I get sick of sugar substitutes (because they don't agree with me), and I am not suppose to have sugar.

Thanx again for your input, it is greatly appreciated!!! I miss you and hopefully you come to Michigan and visit soon!!!

brewers yeast that is usually sold isnt that effective and its mostly taken for vitamin A in it... take a slow release iron pill if you're low on iron. Glucomannan is good. Stevia is concidered a source of fiber too.
and if your multi vitamin has calcuim in it dont take it at the same time as you take your calcium. Your body can only absorb so much at a time, so taking them all at once may not be as effective as taking them seperately. (take the multi at a different time than the rest of them)

Yeah I know about the calcium, I am gonna look for Glucomannan, and I found a place that sells Stevia so I am considering that. I a gonna talk to my doctor more about the iron, I have had iron pills before, I will see if I should take those again, or or copper which helps the body absorb iron, that may be better choice sense I had bad gas when I took iron pills. We will see, thanks again!

I wish you the best!

I'm heading down that path too, more for my health than anything else. I need to get more control over my diet, as well as get more physical activities into my day.

It's even harder with a weird schedule. I'm already messed up with my sleep schedule and I only work second shift, lol.
