I've been looking at the TCM schedule for this month and marked down a couple movies already, and it looks like it's going to be a lovely month: 8 1/2, Chinatown, Roman Holiday, The Lady Eve, A Place in the Sun, Some Like it Hot, Key Largo, The Heiress, A Foreign Affair, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof...and that's only until the 20th

It has been a great month for TCM! Did you see Lonelyhearts with Monty, Keri? I wasn't expecting much since it was post-accident but it was really good.

And Nine and Invictus both have noms this Oscar season. I officially cannot take it seriously.

I haven't seen Lonelyhearts, but I have seen post-accident Monty in The Young Lions and The Misfits, and I've seen bits and pieces of Suddenly, Last Summer. I LOVE The Misfits, and I didn't mind The Young Lions.

But does the Academy expect us to believe that Sandra Bullock is on the level of such past winners like Katharine Hepburn, Meryl Streep, and Vivien Leigh? The Academy is in such desparate need of our help, Shell, it's so terrible...
