Wow, dude. That really sucks. Can't say that's ever happened to me before, but I can sympathize with you. Sometimes women do stupid shit for no reason at all. I'm glad you realize depression + alcohol + driving = DANGER. And I don't think driving around trying to find her is unreasonable. You deserve answers, especially if she ever cared about you at all. I just wouldn't do it drunk.

P.S. Driving around in the dark (i.e. sans headlights) listening to "Fade to Black" is an alternative, but I wouldn't call it acceptable.

Yeah, "Fade to Black" probably wouldn't have helped the situation, I was listening to talk radio/comedy on XM to keep my mind occupied rather than sad songs that would have made it much worse.
