More people write poetry than read it.

In Neil Jung's beautiful song, "Only Love Can Break Your Heart," the first line, "When you were Jung and on your own" doesn't refer to Neil Jung himself, as commonly believed, but is actually a reference to his father, the psychologist Carl Jung.

A pity, that.
A girl in high school once told the teacher (who asked) that she (the girl herself) was her favorite poet. This is after telling the teacher that poetry was one of her interests. She could not name a second favorite.
