Sproglet is two!
Sproglet turned two on Friday, which was also my last day of school. Starting tomorrow, I'll have three hours to kill every weekday morning while the children are at school. Admittedly, I have to-do lists as long as my arm to get through, but it's going to be bliss

Goodbye 2012!
Just a quick recap post, since I haven't done anything for awhile. Throughout December, the children have been exchanging colds, and I've been involved in various other people's problems, plus, you know, Christmas, so there hasn't been a whole lot to write about. Sprog's birthday party
Has it really been that long since I posted? Hmm. Yes, I'm busy. Very distracted and very tired.
One of the reasons for that has been Sprog's birthday. His actual birthday is on Wednesday (still need to wrap presents, and oh my god, I've not bought a card yet!), but his party was on Saturday.

I am not a Safe Mother
I have never wanted to be the type of mother who wraps her children in cotton wool. Let them take the risk, learn the lesson... that's my philosophy. As it turns out, sometimes they'll take the risk and I'll learn a lesson too.

Recovering from Gloom
Yard sale was a complete fiasco. I think our neighbours did all right, but most of the families who came had children no younger than Sprog, so all our baby stuff was wasted on them. We made a grand total of $10, and that was from some clothes. Not one of the large items sold, so we still haven't cleared the space.

Mog Diets and a Yard Sale
Brr! A week ago it was hot and sticky and we had the air-conditioning blasting out. Today it's cold and wet and we've switched the thermostat for the heating to come on. However, as of yet, I don't think the inside temperature has dipped to the magic 68 to trigger the heating. The insulation we put in has done a great job of letting the house ( Read more... )
