Dancing with the Stars

When I heard who was 'starring' in this series I thought it would be terrifyingly cringe-worthy, dont-want-to-watch stuff.

With a newsreader (Chris Bath), a footy player (Brodie Holland), Ian “Dicko” Dickson and Michael Caton... these aren't people you would normally associate with good, fluid dancing ( Read more... )

Gross.

I'm pretty sure I've aired with you why I hate Dancing With the Stars so I won't repeat it.

But Tom is shit. He should be shot. He thinks he can host The Mole but he can't, at all, even a little.

Acutally, you havn't. Or I don't remember why exactly.

I agree he's no good at hosting the mole, but his dancing was hot.

It's the "stars" part more than the "dancing" part. It just all strikes me a series of desperate, desperate bids for publicity by people who want to hold on as tightly as they can for their last shreds of fame, and with the success of the series, it's giving them all the more reason to keep doing it. Very few of these people (i.e. the Home and Away stars, travel show hosts, models) have actual talent and they don't deserve and sort of public recognition, and yet, they have it, and this show helps them with that.

Plus Daryl Sommers is shit.

Nothing really against the Dancing part, though, that simply doesn't interest me, but there's nothing wrong with enjoying it. At least watch ABC's Strictly Dancing as well, though, because the ABC needs you.

If it is a publicity stunt, I don't mind because it is actually fun to watch. It's their dancing that's most interesting.

Yes, I love the way Daryl fumbles and repeats to everyone what he's been told in his earpiece. But he sings, dances and is fun too, and has the nostalgia factor from Hey Hey it's Saturday. I hated the day they dropped hey hey and replaced it with rove.

I watched Strictly Dancing last week! It's good too: they dance better, although dwts is more all round entertainment.

Oh fudge. You know what? I had Brodie written there first, then changed it to David.
