Is it weird that I don't want to take my breaks during a 9-hour work day?

I have couple of reasons:
  1. It doesn't take one hour to eat lunch! Not to mention the two 15 min breaks i'm supposed to have in addition. It's the same scenery every day, so it's boring doing anything other than eating.

  2. Being in a shopping centre like it is, if I went outside, ( Read more... )

you should come work for williams! we only get half an hour for lunch. and that's just enough time for me to eat :P and actually, i found out i was supposed to be getting 15 minute breaks as well, so i get 45 minutes for lunch now! i love that extra 15 minutes. means i don't have to hurry my eating. do you talk to your coworkers? simon loves the big w lunch room. or you could bring a book to read! that's what i do on my lunch break.

I LOVE MY BREAKS! Buy a newspaper and/or magazine.

I did that today! Bought APC to read.

...not easy to read while listening in on the daily lunchroom bitching. :-)
Which, by the way, is *always* fascinating.

Is that sarcasm? 'cos it totally is.

My favourite things to do include:

If the old ladies are complaining about Muslims or foreigners or whatever, you loudly cry for them all to be converted to Christianity, or shot, and see who agrees.

Otherwise, you get the Telegraph and go to the personals section (find it in the classifieds!) and read select ones out loud. Like, "Male, 20, slim, attractive, seeks older lady, 40-55" or "60yo businessman seeks lady friend for fun adult times. Wealthy. STUDENT OR SINGLE MOTHER WELCOME."

Good times.
