Howdy all. I haven't felt like writing here lately and that's why I've been gone for so long. I had been pretty down and still am a bit, and I've also been really busy, but it's mostly just been a matter of being out of habit. So, here's what I assume will end up a pretty long-ass entry to make up for the long-ass absence

(I want to follow your request, so I'm not really asking about him.. but I want to say that I'm thinking of your dad and your family and hoping for the best. You are an incredible son for being so caring and supportive of your dad and always taking such good care of him. I really admire you for that.)

It was nice to have an update from you, boy! I honestly couldn't imagine writing a thesis about ANYTHING. Oh god. That just sounds like SO much work. Yeep. Pretty amazing for anyone to do, I think. Keep me posted on how it's all going - I think it's fascinating that anyone can/wants to do that kind of thing...of course, I'm a lazy slug. =)

And I am SO much more of a lazy slug than you. Seriously. But I do plan to actually do quite a bit of research tomorrow. I made some phone calls today and found out where I can find some stuff, so that's what I'm doing tomorrow evening (thursday, i mean). Unfortunately, I'm also giving an exam this morning so I'll have a lot of grading to do this weekend, as we are supposed to give them back their exams in one week so they don't have to wait over spring break.

Anyway, so yeah...I'll actually use my journal to post my progress with my thesis and my other research for those of you that find it interesting or whatever.

Glad to hear that things are going well for the most part in most departments. I hope you can get over this depression as I know that's never fun. You've got a pretty level head on your shoulders though, so I know you'll make good decisions about your dating situation.
