...I couldn't even imagine the time and the money that went into that...

All I can say is I can imagine all the blood, sweat and tears that went into this project. Some true Gundam fans put their heart and soul into it! For us fans, money and time mean nothing compared to the satisfied feeling of completing a model.

An... extremely large model. I'd have to say that either it was a small army of otakus that put this together or the Prime Minister is worried about an oncoming war.

I heard they made it not only to celebrate 30 years of the Gundam series, but as part of a project to help Tokyo become the host city of the 2016 Olympics!

Gundam is a popular tv series and it's famous for their mechas, giant robots like the ones in the photos. They also sell smaller scaled plastic models that people can build for themselves.

It is! It's an all time favorite of mine since I was a tadpole!

Oh no, it's impossible for a Gundam to fully function with this world's technology! The series is set WAAAY into the future and there's actual space travel going on too. I'm sure people will know it's a model just by looking at it.

Probably in the millions of dollars. But it's worth every penny, if you ask me. I heard it's also part of a project to help Tokyo with their bid to host the 2016 Olympics!

.......................................................

Hmmmm....

And just how much would a rich otaku bid for such a thing on let's say the black market?

Kerokero...Fujiko-dono, any otaku who loves Gundam would be willing to shell out their entire bank accounts, mansions, whatever they can sell, to obtain a masterpiece like that.

Onii-san? Oh, Japan-dono! I get it now!

It is! There's no better way to celebrate 30 years of Gundam than a giant model of it's most famous mecha ever!

You're so excited, Keroro! What else do you like other than Gundams?

Wow! That's a really big.... robot?

...What is that?

It's the RX-78 Gundam, the most iconic of all the Gundam mechas. I heard it's to honor the 30th anniversary of the Gundam series!

It's huge! The only things I've seen that's been like a... Gundam were Eggman NEGA and Eggman's evil machines.

...Are Gundams evil?

It all depends on the mecha's pilot. After all, they're not fully automatic robots, they need a person to control them.
