Lost in Translation was a great movie. I thought it was hilarious, truthful, and quite though provoking. It's the funniest I've probably ever seen Bill Murray. A movie doesn't have to have epic battle scenes to be interesting which....brings me to The Last Samurai. I guess my main problem with the film was that the Samurai killed tons of people. Is that really so honorable? The government wouldn't have interfered if they didn't distrupt society by you know killing and whatnot. Anyways, that's just my two cents.

lost in translation was boring because of the lack of plot and scenes that would go on forever... the convorsations between characters were long and forced... just over all 'eh'
as far as the last samurai, they define honor as dying for the cause of the greater of your country.... same as the current military but with heritage and tradition....... and eh morals?

Interesting dialogue in my opinion can make a great film. I wanted to hear what these people had to say and what they learned from each other. The difference between the samurai and our military is that we fight to defend ourselves. The samurai went down in a blaze of glory I suppose. Anyways, I guess I just thought there were much better films of the type.
