You should know that you really didn't need to explain any of this to me. I completely understand why you would not just want, but need to leave. I am the last person to tell someone it is a bad idea to get out when you feel like you are about to lose yourself.

I really hope that this experience is everything you hope it will be. I still think you will encounter a lot of the same racism and stupidity, but maybe when you find that core group and relationship you are looking for, it won't matter as much.

You are an amazing person and deserve only the best life has to offer. I know you will do whatever you can to make this experience the best it can possibly be.

sp I guess I just wanted to tell you I understand why you want to leave and I wish you the best with it. unfortunately I think that you'll find the same drama, racism, stupidity, etc. wherever you go, but being somewhere that you love puts all that out of your mind. I totally relate to what you said about not ever having a core group of friends- we almost did once but I guess that went to shit lol. but hey the other two can fuck off...me and you stuck together. I knwo we don't get real sentimental, but I consider you like a brother and you've been a hell of a friend, I only hope I was too. so...
