Oh, of course. [Ro turns to Selma.] Have some iced herbal tea brought to the presence room. [Selma nods and strides ahead of them to have a few quiet words with a man dressed in gray feathers.]

In a way. We have been recapturing what was good of the past. [He frowns.] Some of it was not so good. The Federations supply ship brought things we cannot make for ourselves.

Excellent! [Ro claps his hands and the two children they'd seen (only much cleaner)) before rush out from behind a pillar and race towards Ro. They stop when they see Blake and Avon. The children clasp hands and stare at them with huge dark eyes, and the fingers of their free hands in their mouths. Ro laughs.] Come, come, Sonna, come Mulla. Royalty fears no one. I want you to greet our friends.

[Mulla pulls his hand out of his mouth for an instant.] H'lo. [Sonna follows a second later.]

OOh, baby! [Mulla toddles forward, fascinated. Still clutching his hand, Sonna follows, after a second's hesitation he looks at the holo. Sonna takes his fingers out of his mouth long enough to say] Pretty! [And then goes back to finger-sucking.

[Avon is feeling slightly miffed, despite his better judgment. Obviously Ro's court cannot support the science of gene-splicing, so male/male parents are unknown. Blake is only being sensible. Avon forces a smile.]

Yes, she's a very pretty baby. At least, I think so. Her name is Liana. [Blake looks at Avon and smiles.] She's three months old. How old are the both of you?
