It was Dumbledore all the way. Last night my mom asked my why I loved Snape so much. I seriously thought about it and finally figured out that it was that I didn't want Dumbledore to be so wrong about something.
Sadly, the first thing I thought of after I got over the shock of what Snape did, was "Oh my God. What will happen to the fandom?"
I knew when Dumbledore mentioned mistakes too. I thought of that last night when my mom asked me why I liked Snape so much. I told her I do because I don't like to think Dumbledore could make such a huge mistake, but I had a feeling his comment was going to prove me wrong. Rar.
I'm not sure I can believe in Snape anymore. I honestly have no desire to finish any of the Snape fanfictions I was reading now. Especially the ones that are supposed to be after Hogwarts. After what he did, I can't see there being any way whatsoever for him to even try to redeem himself.
You're right, the whole thing is just wrong.
I loved how JKR threw in humor though. Like mentioning Ron falling in love with the giant squid...so she does follow fanfiction!
I'm still not taking this at face value . . . I won't. I didn't even want to read anymore after that HORRIBLE Chapter 1. But I'm still sure its not what we're "supposed" to think. I won't believe Dumbledore was wrong about Snape. Oh, and I hate J.K. :-)
:-) As soon as I finished I went RIGHT to your LJ to see when you had finished, and commented. THEN I went of course to Azazello's - jeez tons of comments. I didn't read them all, but I did read this, by synaesthete7: (its also now posted in my lj

I definitely agree that she's been reading some fanfiction. She knew what pairings to go for...and she even threw in the joke about ron/giant squid. Where would she get that if she had never read fanfiction
