Muppets and Sesamee street are the best. Like the original Simpsons, they were all about being wacky but in the kind of way that makes you think. And Sesamee street was loaded with segments teaching how to count, where sugar comes from, how they make crayons, basic vocabulary, and the letters of the alphabet. Exactly. You don't have to treat the child like an adult but you also don't have to talk down to them and treat them like an ignoramus. Yes there are certain things that kids just shouldn't have to hear about and other things that will go right over their heads but it's the same with adults. There were many semi-inappropriate jokes in the old Ren and Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life cartoons that I didn't get until I was much older but that didn't stop my parents from letting me watch them. In fact my mom encouraged my brother and I both to watch. The segment on making crayons on Sesame Street has to be one of my favorites. So was the pinball game where they counted really fast. Did you ever watch 321Contact and Square One? Square One was awesome cause it had that segment with the detectives (including the woman who does the voice of Lisa Simpson) always trying to figure out some really weird thing.
