I remember being in Jr High when I heard the noise. I asked the librarian what that noise was and he told me. The net at that time was in it's early days that for them, they had to reconnect every 20 to 30 minutes. Bizzare. I didn't chime in on the net fun until I left high school when I found that the net was starting to become reasonable.

I'll put this on my blog when I'm done with work. Yes, I'm working on a assignment for the Palmdale Lions. So this bit of humor made my day.
