Drool. Now I'm so hungry... again. Both meals sound insanely delicious. EVOO - lol. The first time I heard someone say it was Rachel Ray and it took me a full five minutes to figure that shit out.

Of course you would know that! I was just proud that I knew it, lol. I've never seen her show but I've flipped through her books at work and was like EVOO wtf

Wow! That all sounds fantastic. There is nothing cheating about the season packets they are an amazing savings time and money wise. I am grilling pizzas tonight the dough is a rising as we speak. You got to love the grill.

How much of each sauce do you use for your marinade? And do you let it marinade while you're at work? If so that would be a good idea for me...I've never marinated steaks, so it would be a time saver if I could do it in the morning and let it marinade during the day.

This is the EMERIL recipe I used from foodtv.com. I doubled all the quantities, eliminated the black beans and used half balsamic vinegar and half champagne vinegar. It was enough to cover a very large flank steak and I only marinated it for about an hour because I forgot to thaw it before I left for work. You might not want to let a nice steak sit in in for too long, it is pretty potent and might make a really tender cut disolve. Flank steak is pretty sturdy so you can marinate it for up to 24 hours in a plastic bag with the air squeezed out. I got a nice sized one for only about 5 bucks and if you cut it the right way (against the grain of the meat like Alton says) it will comes out pretty tender.

1 tablespoon chili oil
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp rice wine vinegar (use what you have)
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1 tbsp minced ginger
2 tbsp chopped scallions
1 tbsp fermented soy beans
1/4 cup soy sauce

Ooooh, thanks for this! I'm a novice at marinating. I bought a bottle of something pre-made once that was "eh". I'll try it when I have time on a Saturday.
