I'm a pushy mom when I need to be. No doubt about it - my babies need something, and I make sure it happens and fast. This whole thing with Heather has been no exception.

We had our EEG last Wednesday. It was quick, easy and painless, the worst part being staying up all night the night before. In retrospect, though, the fact that it took so little ( Read more... )

omg, I can't believe you didn't say anything when I talked to you a few minutes ago... but then again, it would have taken alot of explaining, too, and aren't blogs great for that? anyway, I'll be the first to tell you (if I haven't before) that I had seizures as a teenager and somehow outgrew them, if that's the appropriate word for that. My life was a little more limited for about 6 months, but ultimately for the better. My mom says my whole personality changed from the medications I was on, but I tend to think it's because I was growing into the person I am now :) anyway, I'm still drunk, so I'll stop babbling and say that I'm thankful it wasn't a tumor or something really horrible and untreatable, and that I hope you guys are doing well in the aftermath... and I'm seriously impressed with your ability to get doctors and their offices' attentions :) it's a highly underrated skill.....

have a good night :)

Yeah, it's amazing how just knowing what you're dealing with can make it so much easier. Good job tracking it down!

I lived with Panayiotopoulos syndrome and intermittent speech problems for years before I had any kind of diagnosis. Everyone just thought I was kind of weird. :-) But I grew up to have a successful career in engineering.

You know, when life gives you problems, you deal with them and go on living as best you can. Even if they cause limitations in what you can do, they don't define your whole life.

Anyhow, thanks for sharing your thoughts here. I'm praying for all of you.
