You performed with Ray Charles? That is cool! I want to hear the story!

Not as a soloist, but back around 1992-ish, USF decided to bestow an honorary doctorate degree to Ray, and so the Symphony Orchestra was chosen to perform with him. My boyfriend at the time actually got to meet him and shake hands (was I ever jealous!), and naturally, we rehearsed with him too. He was simply AMAZING- what an ear he had! I got to see his keyboard too, which was pretty neat- all Braille. :) It was fun and definitely something I won't forget.
