The dumb thing is people don't bother to realize it's not bands who decide whether they become 'pop' or not.

In the end, people are just dumb in general methinks.

arr. yeah, i mean if the band doesn't want to be poppy then they shouldn't sign to a major label, but whatever, people can listen to whatever the hell they want to. haha.

I bet that person is like, a 13-year-old who has just discovered this whole "punk" trend and shops till they drop at Hot Topic. Then tries desperately to prove that they are not a "poser" by bashing other "posers" and being "hardcore".

Well, that would make them like ALMOST EVERYBODY in my high school. I guess.

exactly. these are the kids who start listening to bands like good charlotte, decide they want to be punk, and then violently drop any band they hear being called a 'poser band'.

it's not too bad at my new school, at least not in the senior grades. but i saw a lot of it in dundas, and in the younger kids. it's pretty sad.

Closed-minded people are okay; what they think is part of their opinion, and no one can deny them that. However, closed-minded people who like to impose their will upon others are just damned annoying. Especially when they don't know what the hell they're talking about.

eugh, yeah.
and it's not just even the close-mindedness that bothers me, it's just that i KNOW this kid is just trying to broadcast the fact that they're really punk, by bashing good charlotte.
