Friday: Maria Pia and I drove to Philadelphia for my birthday present, which was to go to the Star Wars exhibit at the Franklin Institute. So awesome. They had a ton of props, models, and costumes from the movies, and then some displays trying to relate Star Wars to real-life science. But man... so good. We also waited in line for an hour and a ( Read more... )

Ahhh! Coolness! There's a Star Wars exhibit in Philadelphia? What do I not know this/have not been there? I did not realize Ben Franklin invented Star Wars. Prescient, that one.

What's J-Horror? Ah, google tells me it's "Japanese horror." I was hoping it was "jock horrror" or "jesus horror" or something. Sounds very creepy.

We're are you guys moving to post-May? Also, it was way smart of you to live on the Metro North line like that. Although, if we have out our way, metro north will be extended up from new haven through springfield, MA.

J-Horror is stuff like _The Ring_ and _The Grudge_ and whatnot. A lot of creepy little girls and abnormal motion. Which is like Jesus horror.

We're going to spend the summer house-sitting for my parents in New York, which means a nice place to live and no rent to pay. We will be having many a party, naturally, so you'd best come by whenever you're up Connecticut way. In September when MP goes back to school I'm gonna move back to Norwalk, to an apartment that's hopefully a) cheaper and b) not in a basement. But Norwalk itself is actually a pretty nice place to be.

"Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side" is actually originally from the Poor Farmer's Almanac.

Oh yay! Just saw Baby Mama, and it desperately made me want to explore/move to Philly. Since it's two hours away (and my younger brother really wants to go to Haverford), hopefully we'll get to hang out more!

oh hey, we just saw that too! and I am always so excited when movies are set in philly. The hospital they go to to have the baby is where my dad works and also where I was born.

Haverford is a pretty great school. pretty close to me. Manuel's little brother goes there.

I definitely need to see as many wes people as possible. I am terrible about visiting/staying in touch with people and I miss everyone. come visit sean and I in philly sometime!

Dude, you know we did the heart. Still awesome. We hit that, the flight exhibit, and Space Command, which wasn't as rad as it should have been.

Do you have a baking type job in Philly?

I just did an exhibit for the Franklin! It's the Identity exhibit. My voice is in it, too!
