I want to tell you stories.  And FB...well, FB is good for selfies, I guess.  Capturing the moment. Not so much stories.  Also it seems there are a lot more people reading here on LJ than there are posting, so I want to make an effort to post more.  Also it's good if you want to go back later and see what you were doing 10 years ago or whatever.  I ( Read more... )

That does look gorgeous! I'm going to try and take more pictures when I go camping. :-)
Best of luck with the ankle, hope the red tape disappears soon.

Insurance companies blow. I mean WTF- you could have an injury that needs surgery, but you can't find out until at least a month has elapsed?!?!?!

well, I actually sprained it in October, but I didn't have insurance then. So a month more wouldn't hurt, really, although I think anti-inflammatory meds and 'physical therapy' is pretty well covered by what I did on my own. But mostly I wish insurance would stop trying to be doctors and let my doctor do that.

Oh, I know. One of the (many) reasons I decided not to go on Medicaid was that they do that even worse, at least here in Idaho. The price on my antidepressant/OCD med skyrocketed, and when I was looking into it through Medicaid, I was told that I'd have to try and fail on four different cheap antidepressants. Yeah, I'm going to go through THAT when I've been on that med for over 20 years without problems!

It sounds like you've done all the right things with your ankle. I wonder what they do with people who can't take anti-inflammatorys?

Yay for posting to LJ!! People do this now and then. They swear they will start doing it more, and then we don't hear from them for 3 years. Ha. Ha.
Tell us more about this working out you're doing!

My working out is mostly logged here: https://www.fitocracy.com/profile/kest/?feed although I do a bunch of stuff they don't cover. I work out at home, so it's a little bit of cardio/yoga warmup and then some bodyweight exercises. I work out every day because I feel superweird if I skip it, but I do a different muscle group every day. The ankle thing set me back a lot but I'm working my way back.
