Right
So, my weekend was almost productive this week. I'm up to-date with my chemistry summary, I've studied for my biolog test tomorrow and I'm making progress on my biology report due on Friday. There is just the minor problem that I have exams in two weeks and I had so much more work I could have gotten done. Ah well.
The troll. Yes, I did wake p at 6.30am this morning to watch the new Merlin episode. I was suffering severe withdrawl, but I was left a bit cold by this weeks episode. I didn't find it that funny in an actual humorous way, more in an absurd, what the hell are you doing sort of way. Yes, Merlin is cute, Arthur is hot, Uther is an idiot and trolls are disgusting. It's not that I didn't enjoy the episode, but nothing really happened! The best thing about it was Uther's vacant-besotted look at the end, with the silly goofy smile and eyes. Sarah Parish did really well at portraying two such different characters, but Gaius and Uthers' interactions are getting monotonous and I really would have liked more Merlin/Arthur interactions. And is it just me, or are they suddenly laying on the "Merlin is so overworked" mantra a bit thick? It might just be the director of this block, but really, it is possibe to show instead of telling! This episode managed to convince me, for the first time, that Merlin is actually maybe almost Gaius' apprentice. I know it's a common idea in fanfiction, but I was always just under the impression that he just helped Gaius out, the way we would do chores for our parents after school or whatever. But there was one scene in this episode that I finally saw give credence to the apprentice idea. Don't remember whih though xp
All in all, glad I got my Merlin fix after forced abstinence for two weeks, and looking forard to the next episode. TROLL SMEXING!!!1! Really writers, really? The crack is going to be unbelievable, but I hope they show some awesome magic and Merlin's part and lots of angst on Arthur's. Can't wait for episode 7 (day before my exams start....pffft) as we may actually get some worthwhile story and magic and angst. Mostly just the magic....plz?
