I'm curious if that article will induce a bit of a boom in sales. It tips the weird shit o' meter enough that I imagine it will.

Can't say I'm a fan of the concept though. Seems to me we're a fucked up enough society without making a game out of the single most emotionally destructive thing that can happen to someone...
I think there are lines that ought to be left alone.

But when people think marketing, this will have a whole lotta draw, thus whole lotta money. The thought/fantasy/etc of doing such things, without the real life penalties(at least delete/recreate characters if ya do). Granted, this should never have been brought to concept, but there will be money in it, I'd bet, and where there's money, unscrupulous ppl will flock.
