I hate how I feel things so strongly as long as they're the wrong things. I do, however, feel that A Lot Like Love is an amazing movie, and that feels so right. Mostly because I'm pro-pancakes, too.

Is it my fault when people can't connect with me?

Me. Probably won't.

Familial obligations. Why does that sound so slimy? Maybe because they feel like muck, like something I'm swimming around in. Usually I float and stare ahead of me and pretend like things aren't as dire as they are. And then I feel even more slimy.

I'm good at pretending things aren't as bad as they are. Is that self-preservation, or insanity?

I love that feeling when you just meet someone new and interesting. You don't know exactly what's so great about them, but you can't wait to find out. Lately, I've been craving good feelings like that. I've been craving a lot of things, actually.

I feel like I'm being pulled in a million directions by all the different ways people seem to think of me.

Things are kind of shitty right now. Usually when I back myself into a corner, I can get out of it. This time, I'm stuck and I can't keep blaming everyone else. For once I don't really know what to do. I love all of the people I've met since moving to Chicago, but I don't have anyone I can to talk to at this point.
