Comprehension of Consequences

I just sent this off to one of my senators (the Democrat) via e-mail. Belle, I know you and those you work with do the very best you can, and honor and respect you for it. Unfortunately, the logic still holds.

Since I will be one of those unable to afford to comply, I am mildly curious as to what sort of penalty will be levied. Or will they respond in the same manner of those who want to make abortion illegal, but have not considered what a just punishment would be.

If those of us who cannot comply are sent to jail, we get free medical care. If we are fined because we cannot afford it, most of us will have the choice of either paying a fine we cannot afford and seriously undermine a shakey personal budget that has less than zero squeak room or, again, continue to break the law which might get us thrown in jail where we will, again be able to get free medical care.

Or we could run for office and get free socialized medical care.

Choices, choices. *sigh*

It's just a matter of the "Have's" making it look like they are working for their pay/tax dollars. For some strange reason "The Have Not's" are not impressed with dull witted thinking.
