Some drive-by friendings are good and beneficial to both parties.

Others not so much.

Spam-bots (especially Russian) need to be reported with great prejudice.

I heartily endorse whichever response and action serves you best.

This was, I think, a Russian spam-bot. At the very least it was Russian - but it still seems prudent to make friends-only the default setting.
