So I was walking by a construction site today. One of the workers, hard hat and everything, walked up to me. The following dialogue took place:
"Hey, do you like techno?"
"Uh, No."
"Okay." Then he walked away.

And our new pope was a member of the Hitler youth...

yeah, &you know the poor guy's going to get a lot of shit for that, but.. mmf. he was like fourteen or something, you know? & it was mandatory, so. dunno. i just hope he doesn't suck.

how old is ratsinger (sp?)... ??? I was hoping the Catholic population would be better represented, that's my disappointment issue.

78, i think? they wanted someone older as a "transitional" pope, and i think one problem with the latin american candidates might have been that they were on the younger side.. &plus this guy's sort of a bigwig, there hasn't been a german pope for thousands of years, etc.

there's so much attention & media play on this that i doubt they were going to bring in anyone remotely liberal no matter what, but i don't really know enough about the other candidates to say whether or not someone else could have provided better representation without giving off an air of some sort of massive change in direction within the church (which seems to be the very thing they were trying to avoid).

continuing my message because i'm retarded& got off the phone & now you're not answering....

okay, so tonight a bit after 7: (the thing starts at 7& sean's band plays third) the snoons are playing at the battle of the bands at the ymca... &you should go, because i love you & haven't seen you in a while & also because i suck& didn't go out last night (sorry again?). please don't hate me. etc.

saving lisa is playing at 10:ish at kasey's (..uh, spelling?) bar& grill in greencastle, and waylon will probably cry if you don't go. however, if you decide you don't feel like heading out to that, i would be perfectly content stealing you... was talking to jer& a few of us might be hanging out after the y thing (i seriously doubt i'll stay past sean's band), but i don't really know yet. so, you should call ( ... )
