I had some great appointments, some happy and one that was kinda stressful becuase I really like the student and want to see him do well, but he's coming back to see me next week so I hope we can get things straightened out. Get this... One of our department heads, who teaches today's impressionable youth, had a 15 minute conversation with me yestday duning which he fully admitted to having racist feelings towards arabs and arab-americans, and if he saw any arab-looking person on a plane he would refuse to fly with them and insist on having them removed from the plane. He didn't care if they were christian or muslim, young or old, he didn't want anything to do with them.
Just the kind of attitude we want teaching our students. Lovely.
