As for the answer to Alphons question, we can already see in Ed monologue through the snow that he has changed. What Alphons met was the Fullmetal but after all his trials, the loss of his world and of his brother. It changed him.
I'm hoping for more, like always.

XD and I've been going nuts with Rosh Hashana, so I've been away from the internet. Glad you liked the chapter, though!

I'm glad the pacing ended up good. Bizarrely enough, I managed to do some very successful formatting and paragraph dividing completely by mistake >_> but it pleased the betas, so that's okay.

Sadly, fun as it is to write Ed and Alfons like this, I do miss them being cuddly together T_T some days I feel like I just need somebody I can squee to over the pairing, just to get over what I'm doing to them. yes I've got it bad, why do you ask?
...especially since the major meanness of Part 3 has yet to show up....

I love love LOVE the way Ed's just like "F*ck you" and I love how stubborn he is and how he would rather stay where he is than be defended by someone who doesn't believe he's innocent and I love how determined he is that no one else should die for him and OH MY GOD THE THOUGHTS AND MEMORIES OF ALFONS ... *swoons*

I love Alfons seeing the doppelganger of his father and I love the memory of the first time the 2 of them met and the way a lot of the missing puzzle-pieces are falling into place for Alfons now...

This is the first multichapter Ed/Alfons fic I ever read and the one that made me fall in love with this pairing (i think i told you that before). Moar please! :) (er, when you get a minute.)
