My headcanon for the end of FMA:
1. within about two months he learns how to use Al's gate to do alchemy. Or he learns Alkahestry. Or he discovers some fancy western form of alchemy that he can use.
2. this is proven because at the end of the manga he still has his hair antenna, and we saw that he makes his hair stand up with alchemy. Therefore, Ed can still do alchemy. I will stick to this version.
Other than that, I'm pretty okay with it. Overall.
