A03 does look pretty nice, though I think I'd be hard-pressed to change my LJ-centric ways as a method of finding fics. The multiple-pseudonyms thing is pretty nifty, as is the 'verse tagging option.

He could be hanging upside-down, and his hair would still fall spikily to his chin!!!!

remember, though, that you play around in a bigger fandom (AS I SAW ON THAT OTHER POST). I think with those, the patience to sift through archives is less, so LJ communities help pre-sift, and you get more rec lists and stuff to access fics of your interest. But with smaller fandoms I like archives, and the advantages of them is that you can stumble upon things and have happy surprises XD

(also, you don't have to frantically go STYLE=MINE!!! STYLE=MINE!!1 every time you come upon somebody who decides to inflict their pink-on-black or somesuch on your eyes)

Ahaha, I think it has more to do with my laziness than the size of SPN fandom. Before SPN I was rather heavily involved in the Itachi subset of Naruto fandom, which (fic-wise; I'm not sure about general fandom opinion) is quite small. But it was still LJ and when I was bored/brave enough, fanfiction.net, because in spite of its fail, I'm already familiar with ff.net's (very definitely not nearly as awesome and nice as AO3) format.

If I took the time to acclimate, I'm sure I'd be much more appreciative! BUt then I would actually have to make that jump and... acclimate. AND I AM TOO LAZY, LOLWTF.
