I LOVE writing a story that even I don't know how it is going to end. Sometimes it can be a mess and you end up wasting your time on something that simply does not work but when it does you feel incredible. That's why nano is such a thrill for me... I almost never plan it out and just write what feels natural and exciting as the next step. The last nano I completed I ended up killing off my main character at the end and had NO IDEA I was going to do that until I was writing the last chapter.

Same here! I rarely know how my stories will end. Sometimes I have a vague idea, and then that will often end up being completely wrong. And yeah... it doesn't always work XD. I don't know exactly how this novel is going to end... but I have some very detailed notes of where I want it to go. Just guidelines mostly! I definitely agree that it's more fun that way. And enjoying the writing process is my number one goal!
